Just 6 miles west of Redding on the way to Whiskeytown Lake is the old gold rush town of Shasta. Old Shasta as its known locally is home to a California State Historic Park and these pictures are just a part of it. Also there is the old Shasta county Courthouse refurbished to the 1861 appearance. The Blum Bakery is open intermittently with "period" demonstrations held,
